Requirements analysis and management

To develop an IT system that meets real business needs, you need to start with requirements. Requirements engineering is a branch of computer science that includes activities such as requirements elicitation and documentation, requirements modelling and requirements management. During this training, participants learn about types of requirements, methods of eliciting and documenting them, and how to manage requirements effectively, using practical examples.

The training is for:

  • business analysts, business process owners and product owners,
  • IT systems analysts and designers,
  • those who prepare requirements specifications and Terms of Reference (ToR) for IT systems.

By the end of the training participants will have learned:

  • to identify sources of requirements,
  • to elicit requirements effectively,
  • to write requirements of different types,
  • to manage requirements.
